The Gentlemen of Oniontown

Illustrated and written by Paul Schonberger

A deeply profound and historic document of a vanishing utopia and its inhabitants, as experienced and recounted by author Paul Schonberger.

Cryptosociological endeavours of the past have largely fallen short in their attempts due to a lack of immersion and communal engagement from a peripheralised chronicler, but Schonberger spent countless nights observing, dissecting and ultimately infiltrating Oniontowner communities and their connective intricacies.

The eloquently imperfect portraits get right to the complex heart of each of the 146 Oniontown residents depicted, and detailed descriptions of just some of their cultural traits and individualisms evoke a rich tapestry of collective equilibrium and pastoral symbiosis within a sadly underdocumented, and often maligned, peoples.

This initial almanac of the Gentlemen of Oniontown is sure to be treasured by Oniontown diaspora* and intrigue those unfamiliar with their unique societal customs.
